The camera icon has long been a source of confusion for photographers, who must often manually replace the icon after a camera fails, or for photographers themselves, who find that the icon is often invisible when the camera is in use.
The problem is that many apps don’t support icon-overlays, so users are left with icons for icons.
While we’re not here to make any excuses for app developers, we have to acknowledge that some apps may not even support icon overlays.
Fortunately, there are a few apps that support icon overlays for camera icon icons, and the app below does a decent job of doing so.
If you’re not familiar with the problem, you can read about it in our previous article about icon overlaying.
Now, before we get to that app, let’s get back to the app itself.
Open the app and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Tap the icon and then tap the + icon.
This will bring up the app’s menu.
Tap Camera Icon Overlays.
From here, you’ll be able to select the icon you want, and then click the + button to apply the overlay.
After that, you’re done!
You can also click the image of the camera icon, and you can add it to the view in the app.
In most cases, we recommend that you choose the camera app that you want to use to fix the icon, but this app does a nice job.
